A European City Government decided to enter the “open data” arena by establishing a market for various data sets. As part of that, the City developed an extensive application to facilitate the exchange of these data sets.
The application needed an efficient, high-performance system for indexing and searching across data sets. Metaversant installed and configured Elasticsearch for this purpose and it worked great. The front-end developers were able to leverage Elasticsearch’s REST API to incorporate search results into the data set market application.
In addition to the core Elasticsearch infrastructure we also did some work with Beats and Kibana so that log entries could be properly geo-coded and then visualized in Kibana dashboards.
